Plugin Title: IM Loudby dhbellol
"IMLoud is an AOL AIM plugin that lets you hear your instant messages. This plugin is very useful if you are a multitasking user and you want to improve your productivity, because you can work in a document or surfing the web while when you listen to your friend's messages."
How to get it?
1. You can get this plugin here or in the following URL
http://sites.google.com/a/sinesat.com/imloud/Home/Download
2. Execute the installer
3. Restart AIM
How to use it?
After you install IMLoud, you'll see the option "Listen your IM" in the actions menus. After you click on this option, you'll start to hear your IM's as you receive it. As shown in the image:
If you don't want to hear your IM, just look for the option "Stop listening your IM" in the same actions menu.
UPDATE:
March 26. Second release: Thanks to all the people who give me feedback, I took all your suggestions for this release. New features added:
- Male and female voices added: You can select between a male or a female voice to hear your IMs, to change the plugin settings use select the menu "edit", option "settings..." and "plugins" tab as appear in the image.
- Emoticons interpreted: IMLoud will read the emoticons from your conversations.
- Custom AIM clients supported: IMLoud now supports other IM types, this enable the use in other windows based AIM clients.

Great Plugin..I found it very useful.I wonder if we can make a reverse of the same also.
I.e If we want to reply to the IM's via Voice.
It will be great if someone can work on the same.

2. Running this on my own AIM, I would like it if the voice only gave "username says..."
on the first message from that user, and not every one.
Also - how the voice interprets the "smileys" could be better.

3. is there a certain version aim/os you need...my computer never shows the listen to
IM choice but it shows IMloud as on in the settings

4. dh: At this moment, IM Loud only works with AIM 6.5, however, in the next release I will
fix it to work with any custom client.
joe: IM Loud works perfectly with WinXP, which OS are you using?
